Marianna water tower gets a makeover

Marianna and Jackson County are full of very observant people. Recently we have had an influx of calls and emails concerning the water tower located off of Penn Avenue.

Our photographer, Mark Skinner made his way to that location and in fact, it was a unique sight. City manager William Long quickly clarified what was happening with the water tower. He said, “The water tower is undergoing renovations on the outside as well as on the inside.” A time for completion was not immediately known.

In the meantime, it has brought numerous thoughts on what it appears to be now – and those are anything but a water tower.
