Sister Arnold – Player to coach
By: Shelia Mader
Sister Arnold’s name is synonymous with softball and dedication in the panhandle. She graduated from Sneads High School and signed to continue her playing days at Northwest Florida State College. She was a dominant force both in high school and at the collegiate level. She is headed to Northwestern State University in the fall.
How did Sister spend her summer? You guessed it - coaching the sport she loves. She has spent her entire summer working with the 2025 Team Florida Ponytail All-Stars and the team could not be happier for the help, guidance, and motivation she has brought to the field every day.
Fun fact of the summer: Sister Arnold was a part of the Dixie World Series 40th anniversary 10 years ago as a player. Today, she is on the coaching staff of Team Florida that is at the Dixie World Series 50th anniversary.
Sister had the distinction and pleasure of being coached by her dad, Luke Arnold and Travis Howell when she was competing as a player. Now, she has high hopes of the 2025 Team Florida coming home with some hardware. To sum it up, if it doesn’t happen, it won’t be for lack of effort, talent and hard work.
Kudos to Sister Arnold and her parents for giving back to the community.
