Saturday: Cryptonym: Noun. A code name. The news referred to the members of the jury by a cryptonym to preserve anonymity.
Sunday: Yen: Noun. A longing or hearing. The basic monetary unit of Japan. Joey always had a yen for an ice-cream sundae after a concert.
Monday: Nodus: Noun. A problem, difficulty, or compilation. The team hadn’t expected to encounter a nodus this early in the project.
Tuesday: Concinnity: Noun. The skillful and harmonious arrangement or fitting together of the different parts of something. Studied elegance of literary or artistic style. Marsha seeks out art that displays a complex concinnity of African influences.
Wednesday: Selvage: Noun. An edge produced on woven fabric during manufacture that prevents it from unraveling. The curtain’s selvage was a different color, creating a noticeable border.
Thursday: Benison: Noun. A blessing. The young woman came to see missing her train was a benison in disguise.
