Sneads drops a heartbreaker

The Pirates took on the Liberty County Bulldogs last Friday night on Bulldog turf. Sneads led early and throughout three quarters but were outscored in the fourth quarter 14-5 to give the Bulldogs a 21-20 win.
The Pirates put six points on the board in the first quarter and eight in the second to take a 14-0 shutout into the locker room at the half. Liberty County answered with seven points in the third quarter, narrowing the Pirate lead to 14-7 after three quarters of play. The final quarter went to the Bulldogs 14-6, securing their 21-20. With the loss, Sneads drops to 3-2 on the season while Liberty County improved to 3-2.
Through the air, the Pirates Jamarhi Scott was 3-for-4 for 71 yards. Justin Street had one reception for 46 yards, while William Staton had one for 22 yards.
On the ground, Pious Reed was the workhorse, with 185 yards on 21 carries and one touchdown. Tyran Thomas had 10 carries for 54 yards and two touchdowns. Tyran Thomas had one conversion.
Defensively, Aidan Brown had 11 tackle assists, one solo, while Omari Hill and Janoah Williams had six solo tackles and two assists. Kevionne Chambers had nine assists, with Justin Street logging in two solo, four assists, and Jarvis March with two solo and three assists.
Janoah Williams and Bryson NeSmith each had five sacks for a loss of 12 yards, with Omari Hill recording two sacks for 17 yards loss.
