Jackson Hospital officials, board members, community leaders, and guests gathered Monday, June 8, to break ground on the hospital's new Therapy Center at 3030 Hospital Drive, marking another major milestone in the transformation of the former Golson Elementary School property into a growing healthcare campus.

Jackson Hospital is in the middle of a major expansion that traces back to the closure of Golson Elementary and a three-way agreement between local entities.

Jackson County residents were invited to a meet-and-greet at Jackson Hospital last week.

Jackson Hospital proudly welcomed its New Year’s baby, Dahlia Thompson, born on January 2, 2026, at 9:51 p.m.

 December 29, 2025, Marianna, FL.  Dr. Joe H. Gay was recently recognized by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) for over 30 years certified in the specialty and may now use the 30-year designation.
