Ocheesee Pond, a longtime fishing destination near Grand Ridge, has nearly dried up amid ongoing drought conditions, exposing large stretches of ground where water has historically covered the basin.

The board considered a request for approval of a certificate of substantial completion for the Indian Springs Phase 2 water project. Officials said the project is essentially finished, with the only remaining work being connecting customers to the system.
