The Lady Bulldogs are still searching for their first win of the season, but no one can question their determination. They’ve packed in a demanding stretch of games, and despite the outcomes, the players continue to put in the work and show real grit on the field.
The week opened Monday with a 5–2 matchup against Taylor County. Mabry and Murphy Mitchell teamed up for both Bulldog goals, each assisting the other in a solid display of teamwork. Taylor County kept the pressure on with 11 shots, but goalkeepers Kelsi Jenkins and Kiley Sable stayed busy, combining for 14 saves.
The JV squad delivered the bright spot of the night with a strong 5–1 win over Taylor County. Chosyn Killings powered the offense with two goals, while Tynetta Atkinson, Cassidy Langford, and Maci Burt each added one. In the box, Alannah Henderson came up with nine saves, and Hope Tanner added four saves along with a goal.
On Tuesday, the JV team faced Port St. Joe and dropped a tight 2–0 match. Henderson put in another big performance with 13 saves. Killings and Khloe Wikes both managed shots on goal, but each was turned away.
Later in the week at Franklin County, the Bulldogs battled to a 1–1 tie. Mabry Mitchell found the back of the net once again, this time assisted by Olivia Robinson, while Henderson held things down with five saves.
The varsity team hit the road Tuesday to take on a tough Port St. Joe squad and absorbed a 10–2 loss. Still, the Bulldogs continued creating chances. Mabry Mitchell scored one goal, and Ella Grace Carrel added another, assisted by Mitchell. Jenkins stayed under constant pressure and finished with an impressive 19 saves.
In JV play against PSJ on Thursday, the Bulldogs fell 2–0 despite another busy night for their goalkeepers. Henderson tallied 10 saves, and Tanner added five more.
