With hearts bowed in sorrow yet lifted in gratitude, we announce that Ms. Cynthia L. Sims has completed her earthly assignment and returned home to glory.
A woman of love, laughter, and unwavering strength —she touched every life God placed in her path. Her journey here is done, but the imprint of her spirit remains forever.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Gehazel Sims and Mack Holton; and her beloved sister: Celeste.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted daughters Sakeenah and Nicole; her joy lives on through her grandchildren: LaQueesha, Carlos (Diajah), Natera, Emman, Nikyan, Emmari; her great-grandchildren, Rome, Reign, Carlos Jr.; her treasured siblings, Hakim (Sakeenah), Gwen (William), Robin , and Reginald; brother-in-law, Curtis Sr.; cherished partner, William; like-sisters, Wanda, Pecola; an uncle, Edward (Eloise); her legacy of love continues in her nieces; Tamiko (Drico), Tammi, Chandra, TaCara; nephews, Aqeel (Sheena), Kamal (Lacresha), Tariq, Curtis Jr. (Sarranda), Rashad, Ernest; host of great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and loving friends; will forever honor her life and legacy.
Celebration of Life arrangements are held by the caring staff of licensed professionals at Peoples Funeral Home in Marianna, FL. Viewing will be Saturday, November 8th, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Peoples Funeral Home Chapel. Homegoing Services will be Sunday, November 9th at 2:00 PM, Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church.
