With hearts filled with love and sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved Pamela Cleavetta Barkley-Mills of Tallahassee, Florida and formerly of Marianna. Pam, as she was affectionately called transitioned to eternal rest on Friday, October 31st, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital Florida. She was 64 years old.
Pam attended the public schools of Jackson County and was a graduate of Marianna High School. She furthered her education at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University obtaining a degree in education. Pam taught for the Leon County School system until her recent retirement from Ruediger Elementary School.
She accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. James AME Church. After moving to Tallahassee, she joined Saint City Ministries.
Loving memories will forever linger with a loving and caring family; one daughter, Ciara Anderson of Tallahassee, Florida; two sons, Brandon Mills and Christopher Mills both of Tallahassee, Florida; three grandchildren, Georgia, Bradlyn and Mia all of Tallahassee, Florida; one sister, Janice Pittman of Marianna, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin s, other relatives and friends.
A public viewing will be Friday, November 7th at Peoples Funeral Home Chapel from 3-6pm. A service celebrating Pam’s life will be Saturday, November 9th at 11am at St. James AME Church. Interment will follow in the St. Paul/New Bethel Church Cemetery with arrangements entrusted to the caring and licensed professionals at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
