Louise Thomas

Louise Thomas age 89 of Ashford, AL passed away Tuesday September 9, 2025 at her resident surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral service will be held 2p.m. Friday September 19, 2025 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located 2627 East Cottonwood Road Dothan, AL. Interment will follow at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery located Houston County Road 22 Columbia, AL with Mckinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, FL directing.

Visitation for family and friends will be held 4 to 7p.m. Thursday September 18, 2025 at Mckinnie Funeral Home located 5304 Bowden Hill Road Campbellton, FL. 

Louise was born in Shorterville, Ala. to the late Sam and Mary Anthony.

Louise had an identical twin sister, Lois.                                                                              

 Louise was joined in marriage to John H. Thomas on Sept.3, 1955, and celebrated their 70th Anniversary 6 days before her passing. They were blessed with 3 children, Harold, Dennis, and Juanita.

 Louise, John and children, moved to Utica, N.Y. July 1962. They remained there until their retirement in 2005. They relocated to Topeka, Kansas and then to Ashford, Ala, to care for her father and twin sister

 Louise was a Faithful and Dedicated member of Jehovah's Witnesses of Rosewood\Wiregrass Congregation in Dothan, Ala. She symbolized her dedication to Jehovah on February 11, 2012.       

 Louise leaves to mourn her passing, her husband John, her son Harold &wife(Addie), her daughter Juanita & husband(Curtis) Watson,  grandchildren Tobian & wife(Stephanie), Roneka, Latoya, Michael, and LuWanda. Also her 15 beloved great grandchildren, 

Her Sisters, Alice and Mae Ella, Her Brothers Otis and James. Also a Host of nieces and nephews, (too great to count) they all had a special place in her heart, as well as other family and friends. Special Friends, Annabelle Dorsey (Utica, NY) and Jan James (Dothan, AL)
