Rhoda Straughn passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, at the age of 86. Rhoda was born on August 17, 1939, in Brooklyn, New York, to Benjamin and Claire Beckerman.

Rhoda was a matriarch of remarkable strength, whose kindness inspired those who came into her life. She created a home full of love and made everyone feel like family. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, wisdom, generosity, and warmth. She gave everything to her family, who will forever hold the irreplaceable memories that remain.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William “Buddy” Straughn.

Rhoda is survived by her five children; Marci Glover (Larry), Tammy Davis (John), Reena Morales (Ben), Janeen Blighton, and Matthew Straughn (Rebecca); eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and her two sisters: Joy Deal (Larry) and Jodi Kostovic.
