Jerry Gilley
Jerry Gilley
We lovingly remember, Jerry Gilley, age 80, a devoted family man, trusted friend, and a man of faith, who passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by his loving family. Jerry passed on December 25, 2025, after a long journey with illness.
After living with a serious disease for a long time, he experienced a rapid decline following a period of remission. In his final days, he remained calm and comforted, and he passed quietly at home, resting in peace. His life was guided by faith, humility, and a deep sense of responsibility to care for others. He believed in God’s presence through every season and trusted that each day was a gift. Faith, family, and community were central to his life. He lived by values of honesty, kindness, and service, and he believed in helping others in meaningful and practical ways.
Jerry was an accomplished hunter and fisherman who used his skills to provide for his family and to feed his community for many years. He saw this work as both a blessing and a responsibility, and he shared generously with those in need. He found joy in God’s creation, time spent outdoors, shared meals, simple routines, prayerful moments, and being with those he loved. He is now resting in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Jason Scott; his parents, Ramie and Ruby Gilley and his brother, Loyd.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter, Allison Seaman (Michael) of Heathrow, FL, and his siblings, who were among his closest friends, Larry Gilley of Grand Ridge, FL, Faye Lawrence (Eddie Paul) of Grand Ridge, FL, Kaye (Bill) Nobles of Marianna, FL, Harry (Brenda) Gilley of Chattahoochee, FL along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who will continue to honor his life, values, and faith.
We find comfort in knowing that he is at rest, free from pain, and in God’s care. His life reminds us of the peace that comes from faith, love, and a life well lived.
