Celeste Leona Myrick
Celeste was affectionately known as “Auntie Let” and “Big Tee” to many people related and not related. She opened her heart and her home to many throughout the years. She would often proclaim and demonstrate her love and affection for the elderly and children. While she could be a strict disciplinarian, she had a huge heart for children and could be found coordinating game nights, sleepovers, bike rides, and arts and craft projects. As her own children grew up, she became very involved at Marianna High School working concession stands, starting and supporting the pep squad known as the Bulldolls, chaperoning events, and simply being a support for many youth. She was recognized by the Marianna High School Class of 1996 as “Mother of the Year.” Celeste loved to help others, especially in their time of need. A true highlight of her life was becoming a grandmother, and she truly cherished her title as “Mimi” to her two grandsons. She did not hesitate to talk about her grandsons to anyone who would listen.
