Mrs. Mattie Pearl Booker
Mattie Pearl Booker, age 72, of Campbellton fought an incredible fight with grace, faith, and strength only God could give. God called her home on Thursday, July 3, 2025, with her family at her side.

She was born April 7, 1952, in Campbellton Florida to Howard McKinnie and Alneta Pittman.
She graduated St Paul High School in 1970. She was employed for many years at West Point Stevens in Chipley, Florida. She was a faithful member of New Bethel CME Church in Campbellton Florida, where she served on the Usher Board for over 25 years.
Mattie was a true woman of God. She was loving, selfless, and poured herself into her family and faith. Mattie adored her children and grandchildren. She was a very supportive safe space and was proud of all of their accomplishments. She loved sewing, playing board games, and spending time with family.
She is preceded in death by her husband John O. Booker; parents, Howard McKinnie and Alneta Pittman; a sister, Carolyn McKinnie.
She is survived by her children Marcus A. Booker and LaTrisha Booker of Tallahassee, Florida and Kimberly L. Booker of Pensacola, Florida; grandchildren Makenzi and Mathew; siblings: Howard McKinnie (Carolyn) of Campbellton, Florida, Gene Otis Daniels (Jacquelyn) of Greenwood, South Carolina, Michael Britt (Marilyn) of Campbellton, Florida, Sherrie McKinnie of Irvington New Jersey, Donald Roy Godwin of Miami, Florida, Carol Pittman of Campbellton, Florida, Sharon Pittman of Macon, Georgia and Catherine Pittman of Campbellton, Florida; sisters and brothers-in-law: Glory Booker-Reynolds, Tommy Lee Booker, Reggie Booker, Elizabeth B. Lee, Carolyn Booker, Rosemary (Jerald) Blue, and Raymond Booker; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
We're going to miss Mattie's kind soul and sweet laugh. We have faith that we'll all meet again someday. Please keep the Booker family in prayer as we reflect on precious memories.
Public visitation will be Friday, 3-5 PM, July 11, 2025, at the M. Sue and Rodney D. Pittman Memorial Chapel, 5441 Cooper Street, Graceville, Florida.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, July 12, 2025, at New Bethel CME Church, Campbellton, FL.
She will be laid to rest in the St. Paul/New Bethel Cemetery in Campbellton, FL, under the direction of Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville, FL.
