Francie Elizabeth (Brooks) Robinson
Francie Elizabeth (Brooks) Robinson, 70 was born on 18 April 1955 in Panama City, Florida to Catherine Brooks, Francie was called home to be with the Lord Jesus on 29 June 2025.
Francie joined the US Army in July, 1974 and was assigned to Fort Hood, TX the same year. Francie met Franklin D. Robinson in 1975 while stationed at Fort Hood and they were married on 16 October 1976, a 49-year union.
Francie lived a full life as a servant of Jesus Christ, wife, mother, aunt, Nana and friend to many. Francie was a member of the FBC, Copperas Cove and also served the Lord as a Certified Volunteer Chaplain Assistant in the Gatesville Texas Department of Criminal Justice units, Patrick O’Daniel, Hilltop, Dr. Lane Murray and the Linda Woodman State Jail for over 20 years and through her ministry untold lives were changed and touched with the love and truth of Christ Jesus’ Good News.
Francie’s mother (Catherine), sisters Elois Lott & Linda Brooks preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her (husband) Chaplain Franklin D Robinson, Jr, (daughters) Tara Smith (Blaine), Tasha Rogers (James) and Toni Meadors (Timothy); 12 grandchildren, Marcus Robinson (Kayla) Anfernee Robinson, Jae Rogers, Mya Rogers, Bryce Smith, Timothy Meadors, Thomas Meadors, Jamesyn Rogers, Taylor Meadors, Titus Meadors, Tony Meadors and Tyler Meadors. Two great-grandchildren Hazel & Amaiah Robinson. Sister in laws, Mildred Taylor-Scott & Frankie Anderson, (special nieces) Yashika Jones, Tameka West and (special nephews) Narvin Stewart & Danny Taylor.
A Funeral Service for Francie will be held on Monday July 7th at 11am followed by the burial at Copperas Cove City Cemetery.
A very special thanks to our FBC family for the many prayer’s these last 12 months, and the sisters and brothers on the TDCJ units she ministered to over the years and to the BS&W Cancer Oncologist and Palliative Care staff, your kindness and love shown towards my wife during this difficult journey, is very much appreciated.
Francie would say to all who would read this, 2 Corinthians 5:17 –“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” You must be born-again (John 3:5-6)
