Hulon Wayne Skinner

Hulon Wayne Skinner, 81, of Fadette, Alabama, passed away, Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Marianna Health and Rehab Center following an extended illness.

 

Hulon was born in Holmes County, Florida on November 21, 1944, to the late Clyde and Gertrude Albritton Skinner. He owned and operated Skinner Welding Shop in Rehobeth until his medical retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering with “Scrappy”, a 1952 John Deere tractor he rebuilt from scratch.

He was renowned for his ability to repair equipment for the farmers in the area. During harvest his shop was often surrounded by tractors and combines that farmers needed to have repaired.

 

Hulon is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers William Skinner, Earl Skinner, James Skinner, and one sister Dorothy Granger Wisler.

 

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Skinner, one son Mark Skinner, one brother Floyd Skinner (Gloria), two sisters Judy Williamson (Mike), Panama City Beach, FL, Marie Crosby (Sam), Leesburg, FL, brother-in-law Charlie Wisler, sister-in-law Teresa Skinner Graceville, a host of nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services were held at 11 AM (CST), Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the Chapel of James & Lipford Funeral Home with burial to follow in Rehobeth Cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing.
