Shirley Viers, age 71 of Chipley, FL went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 20 th , 2025.

Shirley was born on March 15, 1954 in Marianna, Florida to the late William and Irene (Bryant) Williford.

She worked as a clerk for Walmart for over 35 years before her retirement. Shirley was a faithful

member of Cornerstone New Life Fellowship Church in Cottondale, Florida. She never met a stranger

and her love for others was evident in how she lived her life. She will be sorely missed by those who

knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Bill Williford and Evelyn Suber.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband: Steve Viers of Chipley, Florida; brothers: Joe Williford and wife

Judy of Altha, Florida, Jack Williford of Sneads, Florida, Johnny Williford and wife Judy of Sneads, Florida;

sister: Linda Williford Benton and husband Roland of Dellwood, Florida; children: Johnny Viers of

Graceville, Florida, Brandi Thomley of Washington; “adopted” daughter: Rhonda Lavender; special

friend: Lynn Jackson and husband Rex; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones; beloved

Chihuahua: Gracie.

A memorial service will be held 3:00P.M. Sunday, November 30, 2025 at Cornerstone New Life

Fellowship Church in Cottondale, Florida with Bro. Mark Blaylock officiating. Refreshments will be served

immediately following the service.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 2:30-3:00P.M. Sunday, November 30, 2025, at

Cornerstone New Life Fellowship Church.

The family would like to extend a special thank you Emerald Coast Hospice for the excellent care

extended to Shirley during the final moments of her life.
