Johnny F. Ward affectionately known as “Barney” age 70 of Cottonwood, AL passed away Tuesday March 17th 2026 at Extendicare Health Center in Dothan, AL surrounded by his loving family.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11a.m. Saturday March 28th 2026 at Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery located 1499 Dyras Rd Cottonwood, AL with Reverends Jimmy Coachman and Danny Coachman officiating with McKinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, FL directing. A public viewing will be held Friday March 27th from 2 to 4 p.m. at Mckinnie Funeral Home.
Johnny Frank Ward was born March 27, 1955 in Cottonwood, AL to the late Chester Ward and the late Mary Whitten Wigglesworth. Proceeded also in death by his brother Ricky R. Ward.
He worked for Beal peanut and Whitehead Milling Company for many years.

Nephews: Donald Curry, Byron Blanks (Brittney), Reggie Ward, Bobby Ward (Monique), Brad Ward (Brandy), Roderick Thomas (Dianndria), KevinWhitten (Catilin), Dewayne Whitten (Gloria) and Chadrin Curry. A host of loving great nieces, nephews, cousins and many sorrowful friends.
