Junius F. Bogar age 62 of New Jersey passed away Thursday July 9, 2026 in East Orange City, New Jersey surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral Services will be held 12 p.m. Saturday August 8, 2026 at the Shira, Sr. and Chelcie McKinnie Memorial Chapel located 5304 Bowden Hill Road Campbellton, Florida with McKinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, FL directing.
A public viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday August 8, 2026 at McKinnie Funeral Home.
Junius was born on December 20, 1963, in Newark, New Jersey, to James Bogar, Sr. and Junetta Rose Bogar. He transitioned from this life on July 9, 2026. Although he was born in New Jersey, Florida became the place he proudly called home. He attended Morgan Fitzgerald School and later Lakewood High School in St. Petersburg, Florida, before returning to New Jersey.
With love, gratitude, and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Junius F. Bogar, affectionately known as “JB.” Named after Deacon Junius F. Dove and the beloved grandson of District Missionary Eva Dove, Junius was truly one of a Kind.
Junius dedicated part of his professional life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant at University Hospital. His compassion and willingness to serve reflected his caring nature. JB embraced life with enthusiasm. He loved seafood, strawberries with whipped cream, his sister Rosalin’s banana pudding, weightlifting, his grandmother “Ma Lean,” and his Sunset Crew.
He was preceded in death by his parents: James Bogar, Sr. and Junetta Rose Bogar; and his sisters: Andrea Williams Densly and Rosalin D. Bogar.
He leaves to cherish his memory a daughter, Mcyhiya Bogar; a brother, James Bogar, Jr.; devoted brother Abdul Gregory Deloatch; aunts Elizabeth Williams and Cynthia Lanier Diop; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
JB will forever be remembered for his humor, outspoken spirit, and unforgettable personality. His love and laughter will live on forever.
