Gerald “Roland” Fears

On June 6, 2025, Gerald “Roland” Fears of Greenwood, age 77, joined his beautiful wife Barbara Ruth Alvis Fears in heaven.

Roland spent over 36 years employed at Sunland Marianna, where he met Barbara, the love of his life. Barbara had 4 children from a previous marriage and Roland had 1.

Roland was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Calvin Fears and Rossie Lee Hand Fears; his brother, James Randall Fears; his sister, Geraldine Fears Wood; his two stepdaughters, Libby Nichols and Laura Beth Leigh; and stepson, Joe “Buddy” Harlow.

He is survived by his daughter, Traci Lynn Fears, her four sons, Zachary, Cody, Dakota, and Maverick; his stepdaughter, Lisa Brook Wyatt and her 3 daughters, Erin Nall (Daniel), Jessica Key (Freddy), and Lindsey Wyatt. Roland was so blessed to have so many grands and great-grands.

Graveside funeral service will be 2 PM Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at Callaway Cemetery in Callaway, Florida with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
