Larry Gene Beauchamp, born on March 28, 1949, in Chattahoochee, Florida, passed away on May 12, 2026, in Grand Ridge, Florida, leaving behind a legacy of faith, hard work, and devotion to family.

He was a Christian man who lived his life with quiet strength, steady purpose, and a deep love for those around him. Larry attended Shady Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church and carried his faith with him throughout his life. He was known as a family man in the truest sense, someone who valued time with loved ones and found joy in the simple blessings of everyday life.

Larry graduated from Sneads High School and later earned his Associate Degree from Chipola College. After college, he began Beauchamp's Hardware Store with his brother and father, building on the values of service, responsibility, and determination that would guide him throughout his life. Some years later, he went to work for the State of Florida, where he served faithfully for nearly 30 years. He retired as Purchasing Agent for the Department of Corrections, having earned the respect of those who worked alongside him through his dedication and professionalism.

He enjoyed playing golf, watching the Braves play baseball, and spending time fishing whenever he had the chance. These were among the pastimes that brought him happiness and relaxation, especially when shared with family and friends. He also cherished the companionship of his canine friend, Suzie, affectionately known as β€œThe Boss,” who was a beloved part of his daily life.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Ed Willard Beauchamp and Lottie Nichols Beauchamp; his daughter, Nina McLane; his brother, Bubba Beauchamp; and two brothers-in-law, Bernell Williams and Frank Ray. Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Von Beauchamp; his daughter, Jennifer McLaughlin and her husband Mike; his sister, Faye Beauchamp Ray; two sisters-in-law, Pat Beauchamp and Jenell Williams; his two grandchildren, James and Daniel McLaughlin; and his four nephews, Greg Beauchamp, Tony Beauchamp, Rodney Beauchamp, and Brad Beauchamp. He also leaves behind many cherished memories with those who knew and loved him best.

Larry will be remembered for his steadfast character, his devotion to his family, and the kindness he showed to others. He was a man of faith who lived with humility and grace, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him. His life was a testament to love, loyalty, and the enduring strength of family.
