Linda K. Hatcher
Linda K. Hatcher, a longtime resident of Jackson County, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at her home in Marianna, Florida.

She was born February 23, 1952, in Altha, FL, and attended Carr School. She graduated from Marianna High School in 1970. Linda always had a smile on her face as many of her customers at Citizen’s State Bank fondly remember. She retired from the 14th Judicial Circuit’s Public Defender’s Office after 25 dedicated years.
Linda was fondly known as ‘Sissy’ by all who loved her. That name was given to her by her youngest brother, Johnny after watching a few episodes of ‘A Family Affair’. Sissy was a secondary mom to many throughout her adult life. Her great nephews Bralyn, Tevaen (Fatsy to Linda) and Tadge (Tadgy Wadgy to Linda. Her greatest pleasure came from giving to her family and friends. She never forgot anyone’s favorite collectible, toy, or food, always making sure she had them taken care of on holidays or special occasions. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Lucille Freeman Hatcher; her beloved nephew, Brad Clenney; great nephew Cason Hatcher, sisters, Ruth Tillman and her husband, Delmer, Juanita Hatcher, and Bonnie Clenney. Her light will continue to shine through her loving family, including her brothers Johnny Hatcher and wife Anita, Angus Hatcher (Beverly) and Jake Hatcher and wife Loretta, several nephews, Foy Lynn Clenney and wife, Tonya, Kevin Clenney and wife, Michele, Randy Hatcher, niece Tausha Sanchez Wood, and husband Jake Wood, Wesley Hatcher and wife Christy, Stacey Tillman and wife Tara, niece Debbie Weeks (Tony) her cherished great nieces and nephews Tevaen (Brailyn), Tadge, Travlean, Desarae Morgan (Kyle), Austin Grissett, Molly, Bralyn, Haley, Delaina and Trentin, Megan and husband Gates, Holley Johnson and husband Zane, and her adored great, great nephews and nieces Ansley, Bowen, Kaden, Ella, Delilah, Maddie, Bowen, Brett, Kennedy, and AvaLynn, special friend, Shelia (Prissie) Mader, long time childhood friend, Connie Ingram, caretaker and friend, Leigh Paramore. The family expresses their sincere appreciation to Dr. Gay and his staff for the excellent care provided to Linda.
A celebration of life service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 11, 2025 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Marshall Barrentine officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.
