Mr. Laymon Benjamin "L. B." Sorey

Mr. Laymon Benjamin "L. B." Sorey, age 85, of Campbellton, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at his home.

L.B. is survived by his wife, Queen E. Pinkard Sorey of Campbellton, Florida; children: Pastor Karl (Doris) Sorey of Campbellton, Florida and Janie “Tina” Pinkard of Graceville, Florida. Eight grandchildren: Sgt. Clayton (Shayla) Bullock, Shanerica Davis (Lou), Leron (Sabrina) Hoover III, Latesha Weatherington, Xavian Demetrius Sorey, Sr., Terica Sorey, and Tiara (Jabari) Sorey and Marcus (TQ) Boston; twenty-five great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and, friends.

L. B. was a native of Jackson County, Florida and, retired from PEMCO World Air Services of Dothan, Alabama.

Public visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Friday, June 26, 2026, in the M. Sue & Rodney D. Pittman Memorial Chapel, located at 5441 Cooper Street in Graceville, Florida.

Services honoring L. B. life will begin at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 27, 2026, in the sanctuary of Mt. Calvary Holiness Church of Christ Written in Heaven, 1320 State Road 2, in Graceville, Florida with Presiding Elder James M. Bighem officiating.

He will be laid to rest Saturday, June 27, 2026, in the St. Paul/New Bethel Cemetery, 5180 Highway 273, in Campbellton, Florida under the directions of Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville, Florida.
