Ms. Alta Roche age 63, of Marianna, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 13, 2026, at her residence.

Alta Roche, affectionately known as Alta, was born on August 13, 1962, in Greenhead, Florida. She lived a life marked by love, strength, generosity, and passion, and those who knew her will remember a woman whose presence could encourage, uplift, and inspire.

Alta received her education at Vernon High School in Vernon, Florida, where she began building the foundation for a life defined by perseverance and devotion. She carried herself with quiet determination and a spirit that reflected her values in every season of life. Through her words, her actions, and her example, she showed others what it means to keep going, to love, and to keep believing in the goodness of family and community.

She was a dedicated and loyal employee of Scared Heart Bay in Panama City, Florida, where her work ethic and dependable nature earned the respect of those around her. Alta understood the value of commitment and she brought that same sense of responsibility to her work that she brought to her relationships. She was the kind of person who could be counted on, and her steady presence made a lasting difference in the lives of many.

Alta found joy in fishing and in spending time with her family and friends, always making room in her life for the people she loved most. She was known as loving, generous, and passionate, and those qualities were not simply words used to describe her, but truths that were lived out daily. She gave of herself freely, offered support without hesitation, and loved with a depth that made others feel seen, valued, and cared for.

Alta was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Howard Theodis Roche, Sr., and Mrs. Mary Katherine Roche; her baby girl; her sisters, Nettie Westry, Ella Knight, Yhonsetta Stephenson, and Barbara Roche; and her brother, Howard Roche, Jr. Though her heart carried the pain of loss, she continued to move forward with courage and grace, honoring the memory of those she loved by living a life that reflected resilience and faith.

She is survived by her loving and devoted companion, Gale Clemmons of Marianna, Florida; her children, Cedrick Sr. and Gabriel Clemons; Makarious, C’Khyia, Cedrick Jr., Cedrionna, Jewel, Kirsten, KiVon, and Kalisa; her grandchildren, Raelynn and Kyleigh; her bonus son, Maceil Clemons; her sisters, Faye Siples of Sunny Hills, Florida, and Audrey Curry of Hollywood, Florida; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Each of them carries a piece of her legacy, and each of them has been touched by the warmth of her love and the strength of her example.

Alta’s life is a reminder that greatness is not always measured by titles or recognition, but by the way a person loves, serves, and endures. She lived with purpose, and she encouraged others simply by being herself. Her life spoke loudly of faith in family, faith in hard work, and faith in the power of kindness. She leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.

As Maya Angelou once said, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Alta Roche made people feel loved, supported, and valued, and that is a gift that will remain forever. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and her life will be remembered as a beautiful testimony of love, generosity, and passion.

Public visitation will be Friday, April 24, 2026, 4-6 PM, at the M. Sue & Rodney D. Pittman Memorial Chapel, 5441 Cooper Street, in Graceville, Florida.

Funeral services will be, Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 11:00 AM, Church of God by Faith, 3012 Church Street in Vernon, FL with Minister Leonard Dean officiating.

She was laid to rest in the Sylvania Cemetery, 3079 Sylvania Road, Vernon, Florida under the directions of Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville, Florida.
