Ms. April Matthews of Marianna, Florida entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 18th in Flowers Hospital in Dothan at the age of 47. 

April attended and graduated from Grand Ridge High School.  She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

She leaves treasured memories with her mother, Toreatha Smith of Grand Ridge, Florida; two daughters, Tia Smith and Summer Sorey of Grand Ridge, Florida; one brother, Reginald Smith and wife Jennifer of Malone, Florida; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A public viewing will be Friday, October 31st from 3-6pm at Peoples Funeral Home Chapel.  A homegoing celebration will be Saturday, November 1st at 1pm at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church where Reverend Ron Johnson is Pastor, and Minister John Smith, Minister Hu-Man Smith and Evangelist Barbara Franklin officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery in Grand Ridge with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff licensed professionals at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
