Mr. Kenneth Earl Barkley, age 68, of Campbellton Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on October 30, 2025. Kenneth was born on October 23, 1957, in Montgomery, Alabama, to the late Rose Watkins Barkley.
Kenneth was a proud graduate of Lakewood Senior High School in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he was an active member of the Thespian Society.
He also played Little League Baseball during his Elementary school years as a first baseman. His lifelong passion for music led him to become an accomplished bass guitarist, performing in numerous rock bands throughout New York and California. During his years in New York City, Kenneth lived through and survived the tragic events of September 11, 2001, an experience that deepened his appreciation for life and faith.
A devoted member of New Bethel C.M.E. Church, Kenneth served faithfully in the church band, sharing his God-given musical talent to uplift others and glorify the Lord. His church family remembers him as a kind spirit whose music touched hearts and whose presence brought joy to many.
Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory his beloved father, Mr. Baldon C. Barkley of Atlanta, Georgia; two brothers, Ronnie Barkley and Richard Barkley, both of Atlanta, Favorite Nephew and Nieces Cameron, Morgan Megan and Maya along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and his New Bethel C.M.E. Church family, who will miss him dearly.
Though he has departed this earthly life, Kenneth’s melody lives on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 8, 2025, at New Bethel CME Church in Campbellton, FL under the directions of Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville, Florida.
