Rockey Wayne Peacock

Rockey Wayne Peacock, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025, at the age of 73, in Grand Ridge, Florida. Born on September 17, 1952, in Marianna, Florida, Rockey grew up with a deep love for the outdoors, a passion he carried throughout his life.

Rockey was a family man at heart, and nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his loved ones. He is survived by his devoted son, Wayne Peacock and his wife Amy, his loving daughter Shannon Edenfield and her husband Terry, his caring brother Tony Peacock, and his sister Peggie Banks, who all cherished the time they had with him. Rockey's legacy continues through his grandchildren, Austin Peacock and Evyn, Tristan Gilley and Tori, Tannor Edenfield and his wife Kate, Terrianne Bennett and her husband Jarrett, Kade Glisson and Katie, Kearston Glisson, and his great-grandchildren, Bayler, Hasten, John Luke, Wrenley, and another cherished soul expected to join the family in January. His special nephew Johnny Banks and his wife Rebecca will also hold the memory of their beloved uncle close to their hearts.  Rockey was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Peacock and Agnes Hamilton Peacock and his wife, Martha Glass Peacock.

An avid hunter and fisherman, Rockey found solace and excitement in the great outdoors. His knowledge of the woods and waters was extensive, and he was always willing to share his expertise and stories with anyone interested. His grandchildren, in particular, benefited from his wisdom, as he often took them on adventures that would leave them with countless cherished memories and a respect for nature that mirrored his own.

The void left by Rockey's passing will be deeply felt by all who knew him, yet his spirit will continue to inspire those he has left behind. As we say goodbye to Rockey Wayne Peacock, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest, marked by love, laughter, and the simple pleasures that make life worth living.

As the sun sets on the life of a truly remarkable man, we take comfort in knowing that Rockey's legacy will continue to ripple through the lives of those he touched. He was a beacon of light in the lives of his family and friends, and his memory will be cherished forever. Rockey Wayne Peacock will be profoundly missed, but the love he shared with us all will never fade.
