Shelly Hussey

Shelly Hussey, age 56, of Marianna, Florida passed away on July 16, 2026. She was born in Tampa, Florida on July 7, 1970. She was a woman of immense warmth, kindness and dedication to those she loved.

Anyone that knew Shelly understood she was an animal lover to her very core. This meant she possessed a beautiful and nurturing soul with an extraordinary capacity for empathy. Her home and heart were always open to her four-legged children and she found great joy in the simple and profound companionship of her animals.

Above all, Shelly’s greatest pride and joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren. As the absolute best “Mimi” anyone could ask for, she fiercely adored her grandchildren and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for them.

Shelly was preceded in death by her father, Perry Hagin, and her beloved horse, Flash.

Shelly is survived by her mother, Nadine Hagin; husband, Kevin Hussey; her children, Robert Hood and his wife, Autum Cater and Amanda Bramblett and her husband, Michael Bramblett; her step-daughters, Jordan Newman and her husband, Steven Newman, and Jessica Hussey; her siblings, Mason Hagin and Kirk Hagin; nieces, Brandie Moore and husband, Donald Ray Moore, and Tiffani Evers and husband, Brandon Evers; nephew, Takoda Hagin and fiancé, Allison Dougherty; grandchildren, MJ Bramblett, AJ Bramblett, Josh Bramblett, Ashton Hood, Baylee Blevins, Rochell Hood, Bella Blevins, Calysta Bramblett, Lara Hood, Noah Newman, Owen Newman, Josie Newman, and Willow Newman; along with her many nieces and nephews, and several friends and family. She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, immense kindness, and gentle compassion. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 24, 2026 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Sheff officiating. Interment will follow in Emmanuel Holiness Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Jason Stephens, Michael Bramblett, Robert Hood, Tyler Rabon, AJ Bramblett, and Takoda Hagin. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Bramblett and Ashton Hood.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marianna Chapel Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
