Sister Beatrice Malone

Sister Beatrice Malone

Life for Sister Beatrice Malone began on February 15, 1926, in  Campbellton, Florida (Holy Neck Community) to the late Robert Malone Sr. and Jane Capehart.

Sister Beatrice accepted Christ at an early age as her personal Savior.  She was a lifelong and faithful member of St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church.  She held the position as a Stewardess and other vital positions until her health failed.

She will be remembered as ‘Momma Collier’ for her heartwarming smile and her abundance of love and kindness.  She love to cook, making them ‘Lemon Pound Cakes’ that all of the family, friends and neighbors enjoyed over the years.

Sister Beatrice was employed at the Bay Nursing Home in Panama, City until she retired after 30 years of service.  She was very active in her community as a volunteer voter poll worker during election seasons for Springfield, as well as other services in the community.

Cherishing her memories are: sisters, Ollie M. Russ of Cottondale, Florida and Druise Malone of Hempstead, New York; brother, Robert Malone Jr. of Marianna, Florida; sisters-in-law, Lena Malone of Jacob City, Florida and DeWitt Perry of North Carolina; grandchildren, Brandon McCullough, Kalyn Anderson, Collin Collier all of Georgia, Patrick Collier and Khari Peterson of Florida; great grandchildren, Drevon, Di’Avion and Mylo; devoted niece, Stephanie Russ of Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A homegoing celebration will be held Saturday, February 14th, 11am at St. James AME Church in Panama City with Reverend Douglas Jones officiating.  Interment will follow in the Redwood Cemetery with arrangements entrusted to the caring staff and licensed professionals at Peoples Funeral Home in Marianna, Florida.
