Together they traveled to beautiful and historic sites, took annual trips to Las Vegas and Palm Springs, and shared a deep love for the Chargers. Games days were filled with laughter   and excitement as they cheered on their team. David and Loretta also enjoyed plays, movies, music, dancing and exploring new restaurants. They never stopped dating. Though David wasn’t fond of planes or boats, which never limited his desire to travel. What began as a simple homework questioned would turn into a full chapter review. While the kids may have seen it a lecture back then, those lessons stuck with them, and today they cherish those memories and still laugh about them.

Above all else, David cherished his family. Although he lived far from his relatives if Florida, he stayed close to them through regular phone calls with his mother, siblings, nieces and nephews. He was always smiling, deeply invested in their lives and took great joy in staying connected.

He was a devoted father to Twyla and Preston Robinson and a loving husband to Loretta. Together David and Loretta opened their hearts and home to Loretta’s great nieces Constance, Deja, Tanzania, Syanigh and Briana. Embracing them as his own and becoming the father figure they needed. In doing so he just didn’t gain five granddaughters; he created a family build on love, guidance and unconditional support. David’s presence in their lives left a lasting impact. He taught them how to ride bikes, shared his knowledge of math and history, and was always there cheering them on at their sports games and celebrating their achievements with genuine pride. He brought joy into everyday moments, from buying the girls their first beloved family dog. Dutch, to making long road trips unforgettable with fun games and laughter.
