Jacqueline Moody “Jackie” Hoff

Jacqueline Moody “Jackie” Hoff, of Marianna, FL, passed from this earth awaiting the embrace of her Heavenly Father on October 12, 2025. Jackie was born in Quincy, FL on May 18, 1951, to LTJG Earnest Don Moody and Mary Alice Moody. She graduated from Rickards High School in Tallahassee, FL. She went on to attend Florida State University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in criminology.

In her early career days, she worked at various state agencies in Tallahassee, then at Florida State Hospital and ended her career at Grand Ridge School, where she met some very special people and maintained treasured friendships along the way.

Jacqueline Moody “Jackie” Hoff

She met the love of her life, Glenn Hoff, while living in Tallahassee. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love, faith and their two children, Nicole and Paul.

Jackie was a member of the Caverns Road Church of Christ. She was blessed with a beautiful voice and shared her gift through years of singing with Coastal Magic Chorus. She was a devoted mother who loved to travel and was always her children’s biggest cheerleader, faithfully supporting them from the sidelines and celebrating every milestone. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed socializing with her book club friends.

Those who knew her best will remember her radiant smile, her kind heart, and her lifelong devotion to the Florida State Seminoles, cheering them on with pride and passion every season. She could often be found in the stands with her war paint on, not leaving until the final seconds, win or lose.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Don Sr. and Mary Alice Moody; her in-laws, Dr. Robert and Hazel Hoff; her brother, Ernest D. Moody Jr.; and her sister, Donna Tunsoy.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Glenn Hoff; two children, Nicole “Nikki” Green (Steven), Paul Hoff (Megan); grandchildren, William, Christian and Owen Green and Amelia Hoff; her brother, Michael Moody (Vicky); and many beloved nieces and nephews.

We will especially miss her cheekish grin when she would say: “Aren’t you glad you got to see me”

Funeral services will be 1 PM Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Caverns Road Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 until the time of service at Caverns Road Church of Christ.
