Zachary Santiago Cagle Aderholt

Zachary Santiago Cagle Aderholt

Zachary Santiago Cagle Aderholt, affectionately known as Zach to his beloved friends and family, was a beacon of light and joy in the lives of all who knew him. Born on July 25, 2013, in Gainesville, FL, Zach embraced the world with zest and vibrancy. He was a cherished son, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, who on January 27, 2026, passed away in his home at Chattahoochee, FL, due to heart failure.

Zach's life was a testament to the strength and resilience of the human spirit. He navigated his health challenges with courage; embodying the strength of an HLHS Heart Warrior.

He is survived by a loving family that includes his devoted parents Melissa Cagle Aderholt and Dustin Aderholt; maternal grandparents Kim and Jerry Cagle; paternal grandparents, Brian Aderholt (Christy) and Leslie Abbott (Don); uncles Andy Cagle and Jacob Alexander; aunts Heather Amos, Tessa Aderholt and Alissa Abbott; cousins, Natalie and Allana Cagle, June Brewer, Eli and Josie Rowell as well as many more.

Zach was a tremendously loved 5th grader at Grand Ridge Middle School, where he had many friends and enjoyed learning about his favorite subject, science.

Described by all as funny, creative, and courageous; Zach was an old soul with a love for art, video games and vinyl music.  Zach also was well known in children's acting programs. He reveled in his roles in Finding Nemo and Aladdin.

Zach was an active member in his church. He enjoyed Vacation Bible School and was baptized in his faith. A firm believer in God's design, Zach welcomed God's embrace when he was called home. Zach was the embodiment of favorite scripture Philippians 4:13 " I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me".

Through Zach's journey, we are all reminded that each day is a gift to be cherished, a canvas to be painted upon, and a journey to be taken with the heart of a warrior. Zach, our precious boy, now rests in the gracious arms of our Lord, where heart failure has lost its sting, and the beauty of eternity welcomes him home.

In lieu of flowers, Zach’s family encourages you to make a contribution in Zach’s memory to the Ronald McDonald House at https://ronaldmcdonaldhouse.org an organization that helped and supported Zach and his family through his many hospitalizations.

A Celebration of Zachary’s Life will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, in the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Chattahoochee, Florida beginning at 11:00 AM Eastern Time.  Interment will immediately follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.  Zachary’s family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Eastern Time in the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Chattahoochee.
