Gene David Willis, age 69 of Chipley, FL went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 surround by family he loved so much. He was born on May 13, 1956 in Auburndale, FL to the late Rufus and Daisy (Walker) Willis.

He was known by friends and family as “David”. He was a hard worker who loved spending time with family. David loved to fish, garden and play the guitar, but his most favorite hobby was spending time digging and collecting antique bottles. David’s wife and his family were his greatest joys in life. He was the best husband, daddy and grandaddy, and will be so very missed.

David is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Patty (Quattlebaum) Willis of Chipley, FL, his children, Vickie Williams (Clay), Matthew Willis (Amber), and Christopher Willis, grandchildren Taylor Sewell, Colby Williams (Mallory), Eli Willis, Riley Willis, great grandchildren Brody Sewell and Liam Williams. David is survived by siblings Wanda McFatter (Theron), Danny Willis, Billy Joe Willis (Roxanne), Jan Griggs (Wyatt), and JR Willis, (Melissa).

A Celebration of David’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at New Prospect Baptist Church.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. with the Memorial Service following at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Benjamin Sutton will be officiating.
