Michael “MJ” Jackson, candidate for Jackson County School Board, District 5
I’m Michael “MJ” Jackson.
I’m asking for your vote as I seek re-election to the Jackson County School Board for District 5.
For the past four years, I’ve had the honor of serving the citizens of District 5 on the School Board. During that time, I’ve worked hard to support our students, strengthen our schools, and advocate for our teachers and staff.
I bring a lifetime of experience to this role. I worked nearly 23 years at Wal-Mart and 31 years at Sunland Center for Persons with Disabilities, where I completed courses in behavior management and business management. I’m also a proud graduate of Grand Ridge High School, and I’ve built my life right here in this community. My wife and I have been married for 35 years, and Grand Ridge has always been home.
Service has always been important to me. I’ve had the privilege of serving as President of the Jackson County Growers Association and the Grand Ridge PTO. I currently serve as the Chairman of the Jackson County Planning Commission and Vice President of the Marianna Optimist Club.
As your School Board member, my goal has been-and will continue to be-to improve the quality of education for our children while supporting a positive, respectful work environment for our teachers.
It has been an honor to serve you these past four years and I would truly appreciate your support as I continue this work. A vote for me is a vote for experience, dedication, and a heart for our community.
