Ailene was a woman whose heart knew the depth of love and the strength of family ties. She was preceded in death by her cherished parents, Wiley Devore and Emma Mae Woodring Devore; her beloved husband of 34 years, James Roy Cain; and her dear siblings, Laura Belle Cain, Ethel Anders, Eunice Anders, Effie Hogsed, Wiley Devore, Jr, Carlee Devore, and John Edward Devore. Their memories were a source of comfort and inspiration throughout her life.
Her legacy continues through her devoted children, Carolyn Bishop and husband Randy, Phillip B. Cain and wife Ericika, and Jimmy R. Cain and wife Pam. Ailene's love blossomed further into the lives of her eight grandchildren, Ashlee Wright (Louis), Melody Cain, Gavin Cain (Demi), Isabella Cain, Karlee Cain, Emily Goodwin (Zach), Christine Cain (Christian), and Kaylee Smith (Levi), as well as her precious great-grandchildren, Brett Goodwin, Charlie Goodwin, Gunnar King, Lainey King, Corbin Smith and Emersyn Cain. Each of them carries a spark of her gentle spirit.
Ailene's life was rich with enduring friendships, none more cherished than that with her best good friend, Venice Martin. Their bond was a source of joy and companionship, reflecting the beauty of a heart that loved without measure.
An active and lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church in Chattahoochee, Florida, Ailene's faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She was a true prayer warrior, known for her selfless dedication to her church family and her unwavering love for Jesus Christ. Her commitment to her faith was evident in every aspect of her life.
Ailene's role as a homemaker was one she embraced with passion and pride. She nurtured her family and friends with the same love and care she poured into her cooking, her flower gardens, and her favorite pastime, fishing for catfish and bream. Her warm presence turned her home into a haven of comfort and joy.
Described as faith-filled, selfless, and gentle, Ailene's character was a reflection of the Christian virtues she held dear. Her life was a living example of the scripture, "Well done, good and faithful servant." Those who knew her were blessed by her kindness and touched by her grace.

A service celebrating the life of Ailene will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, in the sanctuary of Calvary Baptist Church in Chattahoochee, Florida beginning at 11:00 AM Eastern Time (10:00 AM Central Time). Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Ailene’s family will receive friends and extended family for visitation on Monday, February 16, 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Eastern Time (5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Central Time) at McAlpin Funeral Home in Sneads, FL.
