James E. Chestnut

"The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away." This is with humble acceptance of God's will, that we announce the passing of, James E. Chestnut on August 28, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona. He passed away in a local medical facility. He was the beloved son of Eddie Chestnut(deceased)  father; and survived by mother, Mary Chestnut. Brother of Eddie M. Brown(deceased); survived by brother, Edward C. Chestnut; Armendia Williams(deceased); and survived by sister, Lola Brown. Family visitation and viewing will be held,  September 12, 2025, at New Hope Baptist Church in Lynn Haven, Florida, from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. The body will lie in state, September 13, 2025, at New Hope Baptist Church, from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. The homegoing service will be at, New Hope Baptist Church, in Lynn Haven, Florida, on September 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Lynn Haven Community Cemetery with arrangements entrusted  to the Caring Staff of  licensed professionals at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
