Emma Mae Newton Thomas age 81 of Malone, FL passed away Thursday July 30, 2026 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral Services will be held 3p.m. Saturday August 8, 2026 at Snowhill A.M.E. Church located 5696 Snowhill Road Malone, FL with McKinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, FL directing.
A public viewing will be held from 4 to 6p.m. Friday August 7, 2026 at McKinnie Funeral Home.
Emma Mae Newton Thomas was born in Donalsonville, GA on July 8, 1945 to the late Meck Newton Sr. and Nellie B. Newton.
She was converted and confessed Christ at an early age and joined Snowhill A.M.E Church. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her family and also loved gardening and doing yard work.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Meck, Sr. and Nellie B. Newton; five brothers: Tyler Lee Collins, Andrew Mack Collins, Mathis Curtis Newton, Curtis Newton and Peter Newton.
She leaves cherished memories with her son: Arthur Earl Thomas; her sister: Emmie Lee Newton; and her brother: Shelly Newton; her grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
