Judith O. Vargoshe obituary

Judith O. Vargoshe

Born on July 1, 1942, and passing peacefully on January 10, 2026, Judith O. Vargoshe was a cherished daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret (Peggy) Okerson (Ganzel) and her father, Donald Okerson.

Judith is survived by her son, John Vargoshe; her daughter, Paula Ports (Vargoshe) and husband, Scott; brothers, Donald Okerson Jr. and Richard Okerson and wife, Arvis. She was a devoted grandmother to Jeremiah Ports, Matthew Ports and Zachary Ports, and a proud great-grandmother to three great granddaughters. Judith also held a special place in her heart for her nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Judith spent most of her life in Palm Beach County, where she built lasting friendships and memories. Later in life, she moved to North Florida to be closer to her family, embracing new adventures and cherishing time with loved ones.

A graduate of Palm Beach High and Northwood University, Judith valued education and lifelong learning. She enjoyed a rewarding career, retiring from Pratt & Whitney and Workforce Alliance, where she was respected for her dedication and kindness.

Her greatest joys were spending time with her grandsons and great granddaughters, reading, and visiting Walt Disney World. Judith’s warmth, wisdom, and adventurous spirit touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all whose lives she enriched.

A celebration of life service for Judith will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Lambe family at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
