Friday night, the Alford Community Organization hosted their first Beach Blanket Bingo night.

On Saturday, June 14, the banks and waters of the Chipola River near Spring Creek echoed with laughter, the hum of boat motors, and the shared purpose of nearly 40 volunteers determined to give back to a river they love.

On a beautiful Saturday, the Marianna City Farmers Market added some extra flair to their regular Farmer”s Market. The organization hosted their annual Melons in the Park event. Many local organizations and businesses set up under the Madison Park pavilion to share their items with the community.
Chief Charlie Brunner addresses Rotary
Last week ’s guest speaker for the Rotary Club was Jackson County Fire Rescue Chief Charlie Brunner. The bulletin said it best, “Charlie Brunner has been a fixture in the public service community since he was a teenager.” He volunteered with Marianna Fire Department and Jackson County Fire Rescue while at Marianna High School. He graduated from MHS in 2006 and from Gulf Coast EMT school in 2007 while working as a 9-1-1 dispatcher for the Washington County
